DualVox User Agreement

Welcome to DualVox (the “App” or the “Service”).

This Agreement is between you and Zhongke Youyun (Beijing) Information Technology Co., LTD (“Zhongke Youyun” or “we”) regarding your download, installation, and use of DualVox. Please read it carefully. If you disagree with any term, do not download, install, or use the App. Tapping agree, starting to use, or otherwise using the Service means you have read and agree to be bound by this Agreement.

We may revise this Agreement for business or legal reasons. Revised terms will be posted in the App, on our site, or on the documentation site, and take effect on the stated date. If you disagree, stop using the Service. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Agreement.

Personal information is governed by the DualVox Privacy Policy. Matters not covered here follow that Policy and applicable law.

1. The Service

  1. DualVox is a mobile recording tool for talk-through creators. The product line is “Show the scene. Speak. Done.” Main capabilities include:
    • Scenes · Discover: record from a recipe or import library media and talk over it—street clips, store visits, travel check-ins, photo diaries, clip commentary, Creative DIY, and more;
    • Dual-cam talk-through: when the device allows, compose the rear camera with a front-camera presenter (or a cartoon avatar); otherwise we may fall back to a single camera;
    • Creative DIY / screen recording: with system permission, record the screen or stitch clips, then overlay your talk-through;
    • Info watermark: optional date, time, and place cards; place comes from location and cannot be edited by hand;
    • Smart stabilization: can be turned on temporarily on the capture screen; off by default, not remembered, and turned off when you change scenes;
    • Teleprompter: on-device script cues (visible only to you, not in the finished video);
    • Looks, effects, and avatars: on-device filters and effects, or cartoon / character / animal presenters;
    • Videos and photos: save recordings and stills to the system library for your own use.
  2. Features, UI, supported devices, and OS versions are as shown in the App. Dual-cam and similar features depend on hardware and the OS. When unsupported, we may show a notice or fall back to a single camera / media talk-through.
  3. This version is mainly on-device recording and processing. Account sign-in and membership may be stored on servers in mainland China. iOS membership is purchased through App Store In-App Purchase; see section 6 and the Membership Agreement.

2. Accounts and eligibility

  1. You confirm that you have full civil capacity, or that you are a duly established organization. Minors under 18 should read this Agreement with a guardian and use the Service only with the guardian’s consent. Children under 14 may use the Service only with a guardian’s explicit consent.
  2. You can use basic recording without signing in. After sign-in (mobile number and SMS code, or Sign in with Apple on iOS), you can unlock or sync membership. Keep your account and verification details safe; you are responsible for activity under the account. You can sign out or delete the account in Settings.

3. Acceptable use

  1. The App is only a recording and on-device processing tool. You are responsible for the legality and accuracy of what you record and for any publishing or distribution.
  2. You must not use the Service to infringe others’ rights, including portrait, reputation, privacy, personal information, trade secrets, and intellectual property.
  3. You must not use the Service to create, store, or spread content that:
    • violates the constitution, laws, or administrative regulations;
    • endangers national security, undermines national unity, or incites ethnic hatred or division;
    • promotes cults, superstition, obscenity, pornography, gambling, violence, terror, or crime;
    • insults or defames others or otherwise infringes their lawful rights;
    • is otherwise prohibited by law or contrary to public order and good morals.
  4. You must not reverse-engineer, decompile, crack, or tamper with the App, interfere with the Service, or use it for any illegal or improper activity.
  5. When using screen recording, make sure you have the right to record the screen content and that you follow the recorded app’s terms and applicable law. Disputes from recording third-party UIs, other people’s likenesses, or protected content are yours to handle.

4. Permissions and devices

  1. To record, the App may, after you agree, request camera, microphone, photos/storage, location (while in use, only for the place watermark), screen recording (including the system broadcast permission), overlay (draw over other apps), and notifications. You can manage permissions in system settings. Refusing optional permissions may affect the related feature; it does not affect your ability to read this Agreement.
  2. You must provide a compatible device, OS, and network (if online features are added later) and bear related device and data costs.

5. Intellectual property

  1. The App and its UI, text, icons, trademarks, code, and documentation are owned by Zhongke Youyun or the relevant rights holders and are protected by law.
  2. Rights in videos you create with the App are determined by applicable law, provided you comply with the law and this Agreement. You must have lawful rights or licenses for your media and on-camera content.
  3. Without our written permission, you may not copy, modify, or distribute the App in whole or in part, or use it for commercial purposes not expressly allowed here.

6. Fees and membership

  1. Basic features are free; some advanced features are offered via subscription. The service name is DualVox Membership. Prices, benefits in each period, and payment methods follow the purchase screen and the App Store confirmation sheet. See the Membership Agreement.
  2. Current iOS plans are auto-renewable (monthly and yearly). Payment will be charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions or via “Manage subscription” in the App. Use “Restore purchases” after changing devices.
  3. Refunds for iOS In-App Purchases are handled by Apple under App Store rules. Except where the law or platform rules require otherwise, we generally cannot refund purchases you made in error or renewals you did not cancel in time.

7. Disclaimers

  1. We try to keep the Service stable. For recording failures, abnormal videos, or unavailable features caused by device compatibility, OS limits, your actions, third-party software, or force majeure, we will help within reason but are not liable for indirect losses except where the law requires otherwise.
  2. You handle platform reviews, account penalties, third-party complaints, or legal disputes arising from videos you publish.
  3. Cartoon avatars and beauty effects are for local styling and creative use only. They are not a license to any specific likeness, portrait, or commercial mark.

8. Changes, interruption, and termination

  1. We may update, adjust, or retire features from time to time and will try to notify you in a reasonable way.
  2. If you seriously violate this Agreement or the law, we may limit features or stop the Service.
  3. You may uninstall the App at any time. Clearing on-device data after uninstall follows the OS. Information on our servers (such as account data) is handled under the Privacy Policy.

9. Governing law and disputes

  1. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the mainland of the People’s Republic of China, excluding conflict-of-law rules.
  2. Disputes should be resolved through friendly consultation. If that fails, either party may sue in a court with jurisdiction at Zhongke Youyun’s domicile.
